This animated video that encourages reflection through humor and education. Using a skunk attack as a metaphor for sexual assault, the video illustrates how society often blames the victim, like the main character, Sarah, regardless of how absurd it may be. Such misconceptions are harmful for victims who choose to disclose their cases of sexual violence.Ministry of Higher Education
In December 2017, Quebec passed Act P-22.1, An Act to prevent and fight sexual violence in higher education institutions. To help higher education meet the requirements of this law, and implement a sexual violence policy if they did not already have one, the Ministry created and published three resources (only available in French): le Rapport de mise en œuvre de la Loi, le Guide d’accompagnement and le Bilan de la reddition de compte de l’exercice 2021 – 2022. The “My Friend Max Hate” campaign by White Ribbon (a global movement committed to preventing gender-based violence and discrimination by mobilizing men and boys) aims to raise awareness of the dynamics of male radicalization within the manosphere and the impact of misogynistic online discourse. It offers educational resources: a glossary of key concepts, tools for explaining complex issues, and tips for fostering empathy, developing critical thinking, and supporting constructive discussions with young people. It also includes an awareness video that highlights how some figures in the manosphere act as online predators.
